The Adult & Teen Challenge Vermont Men’s Center sits among the Green Mountains in Johnson, Vermont. With panoramic views of sunrises, fall foliage, and cascading winter snowfalls on Mt. Sterling, one is commanded by the beauty of Vermont to step outside! 

Since 2005 the grounds have been the base for personal transformation and family restoration. As a 10–12 month discipleship training program, Adult & Teen Challenge Vermont Men’s Center serves to equip men for leadership in both the marketplace and ministry, fulfilling the Great Commission in all spheres of influence.

The spring and summer allow for horseshoe tournaments, fishing, hiking, swimming, and good barbequing. With the center Chapel serving as a multi-purpose space; weekly worship gatherings, community events, and weddings are easily facilitated.

Héctor Andujar, Jr.

Senior Director, Adult & Teen Challenge Vermont

Héctor graduated the Adult & Teen Challenge program on June 26, 2015. Having a varied background in fundraising, sales and network marketing, he served immediately as the Development Supervisor, responsible for coordinating and overseeing various aspects of fundraising and community outreaches, such as the Ride for Freedom, Golf Tournament, Fall Banquet, Gift Wrapping, Church Services and End Addiction Teams. Over the years Héctor has grown these fundraisers significantly, bringing more awareness to the program, and he has put operating systems and procedures in place to increase its efficiency and effectiveness. In 2018 he was promoted to Assistant Director, in 2022 to Associate Director, in 2023 to Director and in 2024 he was promoted to Senior Director, bringing all the above-mentioned systems, culture and success established in New Hampshire to the Maine center.

Héctor enrolled in Global University in 2018 with a focus of becoming an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God Fellowship, which he accomplished in 2024. As he continues his spiritual journey, he has done more preaching and public speaking, and speaks on behalf of Adult & Teen Challenge throughout Northern New England.

Héctor and his wife Carmen, who is the Administrative Assistant at the New Hampshire center, facilitate Family Ministry each month, providing a time and atmosphere that is conducive to healing and restoration for residents and their families. They also meet with other couples to offer guidance and encouragement in the journey they have also traveled.

As Senior Director, Héctor oversees the staff and challenges them daily to grow, improve, and make Adult & Teen Challenge an increasingly better program so that many will have the opportunity that he did to be saved, transformed, and live a purpose-driven life for God.

Terrance Tyson

Assistant Director, Adult & Teen Challenge Vermont

Terrance walked through the doors of Adult & Teen Challenge in March 2020. Broken, depressed, and unsure of who he was or what he had become, he reluctantly entered the program, hoping for one more chance to reclaim his life. At first, he wanted to live only for himself, not for God, but during one powerful chapel service, he fully surrendered his life to Christ, and he began to live for Christ instead. After graduating the program in 2021, Terrance went on to attend Northpoint Bible College and Seminary, wanting to understand the Word of God on a deeper level. During this time, his relationship with God only grew stronger, and he developed an integrity and longing to be like Jesus while there. He began to lead a local youth group at his church while attending, and after graduating in 2025, became their youth pastor.

In the spring of 2026, God gave Terrance the opportunity to return to Adult & Teen Challenge, not as a resident, but as a leader, so he could give back to the ministry that reintroduced him to Jesus. Terrance now serves as the Assistant Director of Adult & Teen Challenge Vermont, and he hopes to see every man who steps foot on the campus live a life of freedom from sin because of the work of Christ on the cross.
